EFP celebrates International Women’s Day with a resilient cause to empower women and celebrate their constant efforts & leadership in promoting the rights and unify with the global call to forge gender parity.
The event was first held in the year 2009 and ever since then, it is being celebrated in the month of March. On average 25-30 companies participate in the competition every year. On this occasion, EFP recognizes business organizations having an outstanding record of contributing to gender mainstreaming women empowerment by conferring with the “EFP Award for Excellence in Women Empowerment”.
PROCEDURE FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST
Step 1: Organizations interested to participate in the contest can register by clicking here.
Step 2: Companies are required to fill in the Contest Form and send the same along with all supporting documents as required therein. Please go through the Contest Form first to get a feel for what information is required.
Step 3: Submission of your application. The Contest Form duly filled in and the necessary supporting documents along with a Processing fee should reach the EFP Secretariat before its cutoff date. The submission will only be successful when the Application Form, Supporting Documents has been completed in full and successfully sent along with the processing fee.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Participating in the award contest were evaluated by jury on the following criteria: –
- Percentage of female employees in total employment
- Percentage of female in board/top/senior management
- Percentage of female in middle management
- Compliance of Gender Policy, Harassment Act, Principles of Women Empowerment and requirements
- Gender Mainstreaming
- Extent of female friendly environment in the organization
- Special organizational initiatives in the area of women empowerment
Information is obtained on the basis of a Questionnaire specially designed for the above purpose and information so obtained is evaluated by an independent jury which decides about winning companies in the following categories:
- Multinational,
- Large National (employing more than 250 persons)
- SMEs Sector (employing more than 50 and less than 250)
- Micro Sector (employing more than 10 and less than 50)
