Research and Publications

Driven by the goal of addressing the concerns of local manufacturers and exporters, the research and publication department of EFP, meticulously analyzes these issues through consultation sessions and seminars. The insights and recommendations are then compiled into position papers and policy briefs for submission to relevant ministries.

Our members, including economists, researchers, industrialists, trade officers, entrepreneurs, and international trade experts, are committed to promoting “Pakistan First” on global platforms. Our extensive work—encompassing research publications, exhibitions, business councils, and foreign trade dialogues—demonstrates our dedication to enhancing Pakistan’s trade and investment landscape.

Economic Council

The EFP Economic Council (EFP-EC) stands as the premier think tank within the Apex Body of Manufacturers of Pakistan. Established on November 13, 2019, following the release of the critical EFP 2030 Economic Vision publication, the council is dedicated to revitalizing Pakistan’s industrial base as envisioned by its founder and chair, Mr. Ismail Suttar.

In July 2019, EFP-EC forged a strategic partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) in London, aiming to establish a Commonwealth Conglomerate in London. This initiative reflects the Pakistani government’s commitment to improving the business environment for both local and foreign investors. Our diplomatic missions are actively working to forge new trade links between Pakistani businesses and the Commonwealth and African regions.
