Occupational Safety and Health Award

The Occupational Safety and Health Award, presented by the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan, honors organizations demonstrating outstanding commitment to cultivating and fostering healthy and safe work environments. This distinguished award highlights exemplary practices of national and international employers of Pakistan in health, safety and environment.

For the last 17 years, EFPs’ continuous efforts to improve the quality, transparency, and fairness of the Annual OSH Awards, reflects excellence in leadership and organizational impact.

Participation and Evaluation Criteria

Participants will be categorized into three major categories and sectors to ensure a fair and balanced evaluation:

Participation Categories

Large National/Multinational Organizations
– Employing over 1000 individuals
Medium National/Multinational Organizations
– Employing between 1000 and 250 individuals
Small National/Multinational Organizations
– Employing up to 250 individuals

Evaluation

Evaluation will be based on responses to a standardized self-assessment questionnaire, which will be verified by the Evaluation Committee. The Evaluation Committee will assess the alignment of employers with the latest national and international safety standards and compliance with national health and safety regulations. Organization’s optimization of resources, to promote safe and heathy environment culture and the impact of these efforts on commercial performance will also be evaluated.

A Contest Fee of Rs. 80,000, Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 40,000 ((inclusive of taxes) for Large, Medium and Small organizations respectively, must be paid at the time of submitting the Contest Form.

For evaluations involving multiple sites, a separate contest form and processing fee must be submitted for each site entered in the competition.

Every entrant will identify a Contact Person and he or she will promptly respond as requested or required.

Entrants are expected to fill out each section and answer all questions therein, about the organizational policies, initiatives, and accomplishments in OSH.

A brief explanation along with necessary evidence materials, are requested to be submitted, to enable the Evaluation Committee to make sound judgments and fair evaluation. Evidence can be in the form of documents, pictures, presentations, video clips, social media posts, etc.

Contestants may also be contacted for a follow-up call or scheduled for an on-site verification visit with prior notice.

The Evaluation Committee will provide participants with tailored feedback to facilitate the improvement of their workplace safety practices.
