To provide strategic direction, ensure effective governance, and guide the implementation of Pakistan Tripartite Alliance for Just Transition objectives, a Steering Committee is constituted, comprising the following members:

With the formal establishment of the Alliance’s Steering Committee, key stakeholders including the Federal Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Sindh Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development, Pakistan United Workers Federation, private sector leaders, youth-led organizations, civil society, and think tanks were present at the first meeting of the aforesaid committee, on 27th of January 2026 in Karachi. The members of the committee a shared commitment towards a more inclusive, resilient, and green future.
Members discussed sector-specific priorities for the Alliance’s first two-year workplan – key focus areas include:
- Placing vulnerable communities, youth engagement, and gender equality at the centre.
- Green skills development and green job creation, alongside ESG frameworks and knowledge sharing to promote Just Transition
- SME formalization and adoption of sustainable enterprise practices
- Policy dialogue aligned with national and international priorities, including NDC 3.0, National Adaptation Plan, and CS3D
The members committed to work closely with all partners to shape fair, practical, and inclusive transition pathways for Pakistan – from collective action to national progress.
