Projects

At the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP), we believe that sustainable business growth is intrinsically linked to decent workethical recruitment, and the protection of fundamental principles and rights at work. Through strategic partnerships and targeted interventions, we design and implement projects that tackle some of the most pressing labour rights challenges in Pakistan’s key economic sectors.

Our initiatives focus on building capacity among employers, empowering workers, and fostering inclusive workplaces that drive socio-economic development. We work directly within critical supply chains—such as agriculturecotton, mining, and brick kilns—to promote gender equality, eliminate forced labour and child labour, and strengthen corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Our Key Projects

Explore our featured projects below to see how we are bridging the gap from policy to practice and creating a more equitable and productive future for Pakistani businesses and their workforce.

  • The Bridge Project – Phase 1

From Protocol to Practice: A Bridge to Global Action on Forced Labour (The Bridge Project) is the pivotal project, implemented by EFP in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and with funding from the U.S. Department of Labor, took direct aim at eradicating forced and bonded labour in Pakistan’s most vulnerable informal sectors. By raising awareness and building the capacity of over 300 employers, workers, and community leaders, we advanced the cause of workers’ rights and promoted fair recruitment practices in agriculture, mining, and brick kilns.

  • Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination at Workplace

Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination at the Workplace Through Design Thinking is dedicated to fostering inclusive workplaces. This EFP-ILO initiative equipped over 150 employers and HR professionals with innovative tools to champion gender equality. Through practical workshops on fair hiring practices, anti-harassment policies, and inclusive leadership, we demonstrated that diversity and inclusion are not just ethical imperatives but key drivers of business success and sustainable development.

  • RISE for Impact -FPRW in Cotton Supply Chain

RISE for Impact: Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in the Cotton Supply Chain focused on Pakistan’s vital cotton supply chain. The RISE project implemented a new vision for improving working conditions and productivity. By sensitizing hundreds of farmers, workers, and local leaders on decent work practices and facilitating the formation of registered associations, this initiative has strengthened respect for labour rights and boosted supply chain sustainability from the ground up.

  • Women Socio-Economic Empowerment

Empowering women is central to Pakistan’s economic growth. This project, conducted by EFP in collaboration with the ILO, directly enabled over 500 women (Phase 1 – 300 and Phase 2 – 200) to achieve greater economic independence and offering practical guidance and support to strengthen their role in both the workforce and their communities. Through training on workplace rightsskill development, and entrepreneurship, we are breaking down barriers and creating pathways for women to become confident leaders and active contributors to the economy.
