Sapphire Finishing Mills Ltd. champions workplace inclusion by empowering marginalized communities—especially persons with disabilities—through equitable hiring, certified skills training, and holistic support. These efforts promote economic independence while advancing broader goals of social equity and sustainable development.
Empowering Persons with Disabilities
Sapphire prioritizes inclusivity by supporting persons with disabilities, particularly through our collaboration with Deaf Reach NGO.
- Deaf Reach Training Program: A specialized three-month training center empowers individuals with hearing impairments by providing essential skills, certification, and employment readiness.
- Benefits: During the training, participants are on Sapphire’s payroll and receive the same benefits as regular employees, including minimum wage compliance and transportation.
- Impact: So far, 405 individuals have been trained. These certifications enable them to secure employment in any organization, fostering long-term economic independence.

Inclusivity Beyond Training
Sapphire employs 268 persons with disabilities across its operations, including 48 women, ensuring a workplace that values their abilities and contributions.
Sapphire commitment to inclusion also goes beyond the workplace. Sapphire has contributed key textile terms and sign videos to the Pakistan Sign Language platform. These have been incorporated into the PSL learning platform, enhancing the learning experience for the deaf community in the textile sector.
