Employers’ Federation of Pakistan is pleased to announce the formation of ‘EFP Legal Help Desk Scheme’ within the EFP Secretariat.
The Objectives of the EFP Legal Help Desk Scheme are as follows:
The Objective of this Service is to provide across the board Legal, Advisory and Litigation Services to EFP members under one umbrella. Upon a member organization opting for this service, it will be ensured that its legal matters ranging from routine legal issues to complex representation before Courts and legal authorities in major areas of Law including Labour, Environment and Corporate Affairs will be handled through a team of professional lawyers deployed for the purpose at the EFP Secretariat.
Mode of providing Legal Help Desk Services:
The companies interested to avail the services will be required to become a member of the ‘EFP Legal Help Desk Scheme’ for acquiring legal Retainer-ship Services @ Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty-Five Thousand Rupees only), per month or Rs. 3,00,000/- annually payable in two half yearly installments.
The EFP Legal Help Desk Scheme will give professional advisory services to EFP Members subscribing to Legal Help Desk Scheme, membership on all matters connected with labour laws, new updates/ gazettes/notices/new legal development & Superior Court Cases.
The services will include:
- Retainership Services
- Litigation Assistance Services
- Industrial Relations Services
- Alternate Dispute Resolution Cell Services
- Superior Court Cases
- Retainership Services:
- Vetting of draft letters, notices, contracts and agreements in connection with business & commercial matters, keeping in view the application and observance of respective laws in force from time to time and legal advice on other general matters accordingly.
- Providing legal advice in the areas of Labour Laws, Income Tax Laws, Sales Tax Laws, Corporate Laws, Intellectual Property Laws etc.
- Responding to day to day notices and correspondence arising to legal institutions.
- Litigation Assistance Services:
- Handling of Court Cases in the elementary stages for Civil and Labour Courts till the District & Session Court level.
- Industrial Relations Services:
- Providing professional advice on day to day matters relating to employee administration, restructuring, outsourcing with particular reference to employee and industrial relations.
- Providing assistance to Management of Organizations in negotiation with Collective Bargaining Agent Union on the Charter of Demands and to help management in raising and negotiating their Charter of Demands.
- Helping management in forming/establishing Enterprise Level Institutions as per requirement of Industrial Relations Act such as Works Council, Management Committee, Joint Management Council, Joint Management Board / OSH Committees etc. and help in conducting their proceedings and maintain their records etc.
- Providing assistance in establishment/ conducting of Board of Trustees for Workers Profit Participation Fund and assistance in calculating/distribution of Worker Profit Participation Fund as per legal requirement.
- Alternate Dispute Resolution Cell Services:
- EFP’s Alternative Dispute Resolution cell will help companies to interested in resolving the long-standing disputes, Court Cases for out of court settlement, details of which will be provided on case to case basis.
- Superior Court Cases:
- In case of court cases in the Higher/Superior Courts, our top noted lawyers may be engaged on charging concession fees to be agreed and settled on case to case basis between the concerned lawyer(s) and the member company. In this event after the TOR is settled between the Lawyer and the Company, they both are entitled to deal directly.
