Haji Muhammad Javed has been associated with the Board of Directors of Employers’ Federation of Pakistan for a long time. Haji Muhammad Javed, who did his BSC in Mechanical Engineering and is a gold medalist, is a renowned industrialist from KPK. He is the Managing Director of Ashraf Industries Pvt. Ltd., and Executive Director of Ashraf Match Pvt. Ltd., Ashraf Floor Mills Pvt. Ltd., M. Ashraf General Oil Mills (Pvt.) Ltd., and Hasnain Dawood Ghee Mills (Pvt) Ltd.

He was the President of the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan for the period September 2009 to November 2012 and had also been a substitute Member of Governing Body of ILO, Geneva. He is also the Chairman of Skill Development Council, Peshawar and WEBCOP of KPK.

Haji Muhammad Javed also has a checkered political career. He had been Deputy Mayor of Peshawar (1984), Member of the Provincial Assembly (1985-1993), Minister of Physical Planning and Housing (1985-1988), Minister of Industries, Transport, Labor and Manpower (1990), Minister Religious Affairs, Haj and Auqaf (1992), Minister Education, Forest and Information (1993) in the Province of NWFP now called KPK.
