Remuneration, Wages, Benefits And Employment Conditions Survey Of Management And Non-Management Staff 2018

Greetings from Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP)

We would like to recall that the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan conducted an analytical study of 216 manufacturing organizations in Pakistan and the findings of the survey were compiled and published under the tile ‘Terms and Conditions of Employment in Pakistan’ in October 1999.

Earlier an analytical study of 235 manufacturing and service organizations in Pakistan was also conducted and the findings were compiled and published under the title ‘Study on Terms and Conditions of Employment in the Manufacturing and Service Sectors of Pakistan’ in the year 1993.

Both the above efforts were highly appreciated by our members as the study reports were extremely informative and helpful in providing reliable data and information to our members during collective bargaining negotiation as well as comparison with Bench Mark practices.

It is now after a long break of 19 years that EFP is reviving this very useful activity and is venturing to conduct

“Remuneration, Wages, Benefits and Employment Conditions Survey of Management and Non-Management Staff 2018”.

The objective of this initiative is to provide reliable information on prevailing practices in the area of employee remuneration and benefits to the corporate management in different industrial sectors covering a wide range of multinational, large, medium and small national, public and private companies throughout Pakistan.

The Survey will cover a comparative picture of remuneration levels for comparable jobs and job levels besides presenting a documentation of benefits, policies and emerging trends in the wage and employment market. The Survey will also provide a wealth of relevant information and data which is grossly needed and can be used while preparing for and undertaking collective bargaining negotiations. The survey data will also help in determining the size of basket and allocating funds for considering annual salary increments to management and non-management employees.

The Survey will cover the actual remuneration levels to identified benchmark jobs during the months in which survey will be carried out I.e. July – August – September 2018 and will be conducted from the perspective of
‘cost to the employer’.

To maintain the confidentiality of information, each participating company will be given a code which will be provided only to them with the Survey report.
